I have had dripless shaft logs on our current boat with any problems for over 5,000 of operation. We have ordered a new Nordhavn and would like to hear what you have to say about installing them on a offshore vessel. I have been looking at the PSS.

I have not used the dripless seals but I understand that they are reliable
and work well. The important short coming is that they cannot be replaced as
easily or "patched" as readily as conventional packing material. Therefore,
I do not use them.
