On the House side, the letter is being led by Rep. Grijalva and Rep. Yarmuth. On the Senate side, the letter is bipartisan- for the first time ever- and is being led by Senator Reed and Senator Young. The two letters are very similar and both request an increase in funding for the Adult State Education Grant Program to $692 million for FY2021. We are asking that COABE members send this letter to their Members of Congress through Ignite and request that they demonstrate their support for adult education by signing onto the letter. We need to secure their support by March 20, 2020, so please send these emails as soon as you can. As you know, increased federal funding is vital to ensuring that we can meet more of the demand that we know exists in the field for adult education services.
