About an hour ago I found a Hudsonian Godwit in Button Bay, Wolfe Island.
Unfortunately, it flushed along with some Black-bellied Plovers when a Bald
Eagle came by. If trying for this bird, please note all land around the bay
is private and a 'scope is absolutely essential. Hunters are also present in
the area today. I viewed it from Hwy 95, just before the cemetery
(approximately here: 44.133306, -76.379040), looking NE towards the spit of
land with congregated geese and cormorants.
