CTE Update

The House is going to consider and presumably pass the Senate version of the Perkins/CTE reauthorization (the Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Act) sometime this afternoon. Just like with WIOA, which seems like 100 years ago now, the bill passed by the Senate Monday will be considered in the House under “suspension of the rules." Bills considered under suspension require 2/3 of the House to vote yes in order to pass, so when they proceed in this way it’s a sure sign the bill has wide support. So I expect the bill will pas today and be signed by the President sometime this week.
