Dear neighbors,
Friends of Youth and Grace Lutheran Church considered a partnership to
locate the agency's emergency shelter for young adults at the church campus
near our neighborhood. While that partnership is no longer under
consideration, the community meetings held to discuss the possibility taught
Friends of Youth that it needs to do a better job of describing what
homelessness means for the young people on the Eastside and inviting the
community to participate in a broader conversation on the topic.
If you are interested in finding out more about this issue and how it
impacts our community, I would encourage you to participate in this event,
which is being held this Thursday at 7pm at Grace Lutheran Church, located
near our South entrance. I have attached a flyer with more information.
