CCWC Members and Friends, Please join us at the next Chambers-Clover Watershed Council meeting on Wednesday, August 13th, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. We will meet at Lakewood City Hall in the third floor Executive Conference Room. Lakewood City Hall is located at 6000 Main St. SW in Lakewood. Meeting Focus: This month's meeting will focus on NPDES municipal stormwater permit implementation in the Chambers-Clover Watershed. Kurt Freemont, Washington Department of Ecology, will overview the NPDES permitting program as it applies statewide. Following will be a panel discussion about how local jurisdictions are implementing their stormwater programs and meeting permit requirements. Mike Rhubright, City of Tacoma, and John Collins, Pierce County, will speak from the perspective of larger ("Phase 1") jurisdictions. Jack Ecklund, City of University Place, and Greg Vigoren, City of Lakewood, will provide their perspectives as stormwater managers in smaller ("Phase 2") jurisdictions.
