Hello Neighbors.
On March 10th, I completed the City of Bellevue Community*
E*mergency Response
Team Training, (CERT). This was the 8 week course (one evening a week),
that was fun, inspiring, and challenging, covering topics like Disaster
Preparedness, Medical Operations, Search & Rescue, and Fire & Safety.
Another option offered is CERT Lite, a Saturday morning training offered
monthly at different locations around the City.
I strongly encourage to take CERT or CERT Lite.
See my cut and paste below from the City of Bellevue Emergency Management
Newsletter for details.
The next class scheduled is an accelerated CERT class on June 22nd, 23rd,
and 24th in 2018. This class is a full CERT curriculum offered in a
condensed time frame for those unable to attend a full CERT course over
an 8 week period.
The final *CERT *class of 2018 will be another 8 week course scheduled to
start on Wednesday, August 29th from 6:00-9:00PM with classes every
consecutive Wednesday until the final drill on Saturday October, 20th. You
can find the application here!
Monthly Reminder for CERT Lite!
2018 CERT Lite Schedule:
CERT Lite is a great way to learn some basic emergency preparedness and
response skills if a busy schedule prevents you from taking the full 8 week
course!
