Hi,

I just found the below about direction finding using GNUradio. Can the package be modified to work with the B210 using the two RX channels ?

Also any other GNUradio modules with similar functionality ?

Abstract. This application note covers using the USRP™ TwinRX™ daughterboard in a direction find application using the MUSIC algorithm. Introduction

Thanks for any info,

Hello Patrick,

This specific example requires four phase-coherent channels and the way it
was written is device specific, being the X300/X310 with two TwinRX
daughterboards required. It might be modified to make use of different
daughterboards that are compatible with the X3X0 devices. However, the b210
lacks of the capability of providing the four phase coherent channels
required to have a successful measure in this case.

-Nicolas

Thanks for the info, Nicholas. The page says the requirements for MUSIC are:

the number of plane-wave signals, D is known,

  • the number of antenna elements, N is at least equal to D+1 and
  • the inputs received across the antenna array for the purpose of DoA estimation are phase-synchronous.

If D = 1 then it should be possible to use the B210, correct ? Can I modify the code for this case ?

Thanks,

--Patrick
