Music Fans, Saturday February 25th The Kareem Kandi World Orchestra will be featuring French pianist, organist, and composer Jean-Yves Jung for a special concert at The Tacoma School of the Arts Theater. We'll be joined by Greg Feingold on bass and Matt Jorgensen on drums. About our guest: Born and raised in France, Jean Yves is self taught pianist. Performing on evenings while studying physics in university, he decided to devote his life to music after graduating. After finishing university, he moved to Paris to study arranging and orchestration. Jean-Yves currently tours with Bireli Lagrene's Quartet. Other notable collaborations include performances and recordings with Billy Cobham, Sylvain Beuf, Organic Trio, Line Kruse, Maxime Bender, and Pierre Bertrand. He has also performed with Rick Margitza, Philip Catherine, Houston Person, Jerry Bergonzi, Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg w/ Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tony Lakatos, Christian Escoude, Andre Ceccarelli, The Paris Jazz Big Band, and many more.
