Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes

We stopped at the Fort on our Loop in 2012. You anchor in the anchorage.
Then look carefully at the shoreline for a break in the trees and take your
dink ashore. As you get closer there will be a lot of grass so you may have
to paddle in. Find a place to land that allows you a dry landing. Walk into
the grass field and to the right will be a long flight of stairs up to the
Fort.
Our blog shows the stairs in a photo

I made 2 recent visits to Fort Ticonderoga on the shore of Lake Champlain
recently and got some wonderful (I think) photos including some aerial shots
from a mountain 2 miles away using a very long lens.
Haven't yet figured out a reasonable way to access the fort via boat, but
the anchorage below the fort is getting quite popular lately. I saw some
dinghys going to the shore, so there must be a way.
So I re-did my page with the new photos:

Hope ya like it.
