BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK (Niagara): The long-staying bird remained at
Dufferin Islands to at least December 9.
GREEN-WINGED TEAL (EURASIAN) (Toronto): The male continued at G. Ross Lord
Park to at least December 4.
King Eider (Halton): One of the two females at Coronation Park in Oakville
was reported December 5 and both were reported December 8.
King Eider (Hamilton): A female continued off the Sayer's Park area in
Stoney Creek December 3-8.
King Eider (Prince Edward): A female was photographed off the Lakeshore
Lodge area of Sandbanks Provincial Park December 5.
King Eider (Toronto): A female continued off Tommy Thompson Park to at
least December 9.
Harlequin Duck (Algoma): The female-type bird was photographed off
Whitefish Island, Sault Ste. Marie December 6.
Harlequin Duck (Durham): The male was again off Thickson's Point,
photographed December 9.
Harlequin Duck (Lambton): The female-type bird continued off the Point
Edward area December 6-9.
Harlequin Duck (Toronto): A male was photographed from Marilyn Bell Park
December 4 and a female was photographed east of Ashbridges Bay Park
December 9.
Barrow's Goldeneye (Durham): A male was off a few locations in Whitby
December 5-7.
Barrow's Goldeneye (Grey): The Owen Sound Harbour bird continued to at
least December 9.
Barrow's Goldeneye (Ottawa): As many as two males were reported this week
from Strathcona Park
Rufous Hummingbird (Halton): The Rufous Hummingbird by Sedgewick Forest in
Oakville was reported to at least December 5.
Purple Sandpiper (Essex): One bird was photographed at Point Pelee December
3.
Purple Sandpiper (Toronto): Two birds were reported at Tommy Thompson Park
December 5 and one December 9.
RAZORBILL (Niagara): Up to three birds were seen at once this week, with
many observations of one and two birds off Niagara-on-the-Lake
Black-legged Kittiwake (Hamilton): One bird was reported December 5 off
Grays Rd in Stoney Creek December 5.
GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL (Simcoe): The Barrie bird continued this week with
many sightings, mostly from the "Spirit Catcher". It seems to be most
reliable later in the day.
Pacific Loon (Lambton): One bird was reported off Canatara Park December 9.
Great Egret (Essex): Two birds were at Holiday Beach CA December 4
Great Egret (Hamilton): One bird was at Valens CA December 4-5.
Great Egret (Peel): One bird was seen along the Credit River in Mississauga
December 5.
Great Egret (Waterloo): One bird was at the Glasgow Street stormwater ponds
December 3.
Black Vulture (Niagara): Up to 7 birds were reported from Queenston this
week.
BURROWING OWL (Toronto): One bird was apparently found last week (December
Gyrfalcon (Lambton): One bird was seen near Kettle Point December 3.
SAY'S PHOEBE (Ottawa): After going missing for a time, the Say's Phoebe by
the Trail Rd landfill was found again this week December 4 but not reported
again after that date.
Townsend's Solitaire (Thunder Bay): One bird continued at Mountain Rd,
Thunder Bay
GOLDEN-CROWNED SPARROW (Toronto): The Scarborough Golden-crowned Sparrow
continued this week.
Harris's Sparrow (Hamilton): The Inksetter Rd bird continued this week.
Harris's Sparrow (Thunder Bay): The Leslie Ave, Thunder Bay bird continued
this week.
Nelson's Sparrow (Chatham-Kent): One bird was photographed at Keith McLean
CA December 8 and then reported again December 9.
Western Meadowlark (Halton): A meadowlark found December 8 and then again
December 9 appears to be this species. The location is a field at the end
of Wyecroft Rd., after exiting the QEW at Burloak Dr south in Oakville
Black-and-white Warbler (Frontenac): One bird was reportedly photographed
at Lake Ontario Park in Kingston December 7.
Tennessee Warbler (Haldimand): One bird was reported from Rock Point
Provincial Park December 9.
Tennessee Warbler (Halton): One bird was photographed along the Sheldon
Creek Trail in Oakville December 5.
Northern Parula (Halton): The bird at Sedgewick Forest continued to at
least December 9.
Blackpoll Warbler (Halton): The bird at Sedgewick Forest continued to at
least December 9.
Indigo Bunting (York): One bird was photographed at Grand Cornell Park in
Markham December 9.
