Hi All,

Today, we celebrate the Supreme Court's ruling upholding DACA! We stand in solidarity with the diverse group of 700,000 young immigrants impacted by today's decision, and we continue the work to fight
for immigrant rights and justice.

This is a huge win for DACA recipients and the civil rights community! While the work continues to ensure ALL
communities are protected, we want to celebrate this win and the hard work of our partners and the thousands of immigrant youth that led this fight.

Please find some resources on decision day below, along with a statement from The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.

Civil Rights Coalition Applauds DACA Ruling, But Congress Must Permanently Protect Dreamers

WASHINGTON – Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, issued the following statement after the Supreme Court ruled
that the Trump administration’s rescission of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program was “arbitrary and capricious” under the Administrative Procedure Act, allowing the program to remain in place:

“We commend the Supreme Court’s decision finding President Trump’s rescission of DACA was unlawful. We fully support the diverse group of nearly 700,000 young immigrants
who are instrumental to our society, and we are proud of their many contributions to make this country a better place.

“However, the fight is not over. We must continue to follow the lead of Dreamers and other advocates fighting for a lasting solution that protects DACA recipients
and their families. Whether it is the more than 25,000 Dreamers who are health care workers keeping us safe during the pandemic, or the Dreamers marching in solidarity for justice to protest anti-Black racism, DACA recipients are here to stay. As we reimagine
the kind of America we want to become, and as we fight to make our country stronger and more just, we should look to Dreamers. We commit to fighting alongside them and ensuring Congress acts immediately so that DACA recipients can finally live in peace and
security.

The Leadership Conference joined the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law, the Anti-Defamation League, and 42 other social justice organizations in a “friend of the court” https://civilrights.org/2019/10/04/civil-rights-groups-file-amicus-brief-before-supreme-court-challenging-department-of-homeland-securitys-rescission-of-daca/ in
