The first Blubay Tender Cat 45 has been launched in South Africa,
says Gregor Tarjan, president of Aeroyacht, the Long Island-based
catamaran dealer.

Tarjan will attempt to set a New York-Bermuda with the Blubay which
will be offered as an open tender, en express cruiser and a sportfish.
Blubay, which made its name in mega sailing cats, has a 75-foot
long-range power catamaran in mind for the future:

Blubay is a French company that has partnered with Argo Boats in Cape Town.

Clearly power catamarans encompasses a diverse bunch of boats,
including: go-real-fast boats; take-it-easy trawler types; fishing
frenzy boats: long range cruisers; party boats; liveaboards; record
setting designs; large boats; small boats; luxury yachts and workboats.
I am just beginning restorations on my eighty foot long sidewheel
paddleboat power catamaran. That is about as unusual a power catamaran
as you will likely find! We will be living aboard our PDQ 34 by next
summer while the big boat gets rebuilt nearby. Details/updates as
things progress.
