Health insurers now pay for members'... GEDs?
Pennsylvania Health Insurer, AmeriHealth Caritas, learned that studies show people with lower educational levels tend to be in poorer health. So they, along with a handful of other Medicaid health plans, decided to offer a GED benefit.

Just as a side note, we've been working with a few other medicaid providers
in other states to pilot a program like this. It would be great if we get
to a point where states either require in their RFPs/contracts, or award
extra points in the RFP evaluation process.
