Tacoma Arts Community,

Tacoma Community College Music is hosting Brass Band Tacoma for a fun holiday concert tomorrow night (Monday, 12/11).  The performance begins at 7:30 PM, and is in Building 2 (on the North side of campus, close to the intersection of S. 12th and Mildred).  This performance is FREE and open to the public.  Please come and enjoy the music, celebrate the season, and get in the seasonal spirit.  :)

Brass Band Tacoma is a passion project of mine, and I conduct the ensemble.  It is a British brass band, consisting of cornets, horns, euphoniums, trombones, tubas, and percussion.  This band  is also made up of some of the finest musicians and music educators from the South Sound region.  Although you might pay admission to see many of these top-notch artists perform, everyone on stage is volunteering their time to be a part of Brass Band Tacoma - and admission is FREE.  Brass Band Tacoma has a glorious sound, and we love to share our music with the community!

We will have Morris Northcutt as our featured guest and flugelhorn soloist.  He is an internationally known soloist and clinician.  Locally Morris has been the lead trumpet player for legendary jazz saxophonist Pete Christlieb and his Tall and Small Big Band.  He also is the principal cornetist for the internationally recognized Tacoma Concert Band, a position he has held for over 20 years.
