There are two pieces of legislation on the federal level that will protect birds and their habitat!  Please consider writing to your US Representative in support of these Acts.

Federal Bird Safe Buildings Act of 2023 H.R. 3781: This bill requires that federal buildings, with a few exceptions, use bird safe features, practices, and strategies. The Plum Island National Monument Act. H.R.1584: This bill would establish Plum Island, New York, as a national monument for the purpose of ecological conservation, historical preservation.  The following link will guide you through an easy process for contacting your US Representative.https://www.preserveplumisland.org
