Try the New York Canals ... ya can totally lose yourself in the 500+ miles
of them.  And this is definitely the cheapest cruising area anywhere.

I fell in love with the Canals so much, I sold my house and moved here.

Certainly not the Mississippi. Tennessee River ?  Hudson ?
