CITY OF LAKEWOOD FIESTA DE LA FAMILIA
CALL TO ARTISTS
The City is reaching out to Latino Artists, both experiences and emerging, to show and sell art at Fiesta de la Familia on September 6 from noon to 6:00pm.
This outdoor festival at Fort Steilacoom Park attracts about 8,000 people and includes art, entertainment, Mexican dancing horses, a community ofrenda, children's parade, food trucks and more. Our hope to highlight the talent of Latino artists at this event.
There is no fee, but artists must provide their own canopy, weights, and means to hand their art. Artists must be set up by the start time and stay until 6pm. The Lakewood Arts Commission will review the art you submit and select up to 20 artists. You will be notified if you are selected.
Emerging Artists: The City will provide a canopy, tables and means to hang art for two "emerging artists". If you consider yourself an emerging artist (students are welcome) - perhaps you have received an award or recognition for your art but have not shown your art at a festival or professional gallery, please put "Emerging Artist" at the top of your application and include any awards or recognition you have received.
The deadline is August 10 email back your completed application which is attached to: smartinez@cityoflakewood.usmailto:smartinez@cityoflakewood.us.
Thank you and reach out if you have any questions.
