Any other comments why the Nordhavn is not getting better fuel "Mileage"?

I was also quite surprised when I saw the fuel burn for the N47. It is significantly more than I would have thought it should be. So beyond the displacement and Cp I would look to the machinery. I thought it a bit odd that they were only making 6.5 to 7 knots at 1900 rpm. If I recall the JD makes max torque at about 1650 rpm and probably about 140 hp. I would say that the manufacturer has propped this boat to allow for the owner that is willing to swallow the fuel burn at 10 knots.
