Hello Pierce County Gardeners!

Join us at the Gallucci Learning Garden on the corner of s. 14th & G street for a FREE class on...

Annuals: the value of crop diversity and non-edibles in your garden

Wednesday, May 15th, 5-7pm

Annuals are ephemeral plants: they flower for one season only and then they are gone. This may seem to be a disadvantage in a garden context, but in fact it can be a great benefit, especially for those gardeners who like to have something different in their flowerbeds each year.
Learner will:

***understand the four basic types of plants that are considered annuals from a garden point of view

***appreciate the great diversity of annuals for design within the garden

***plan for various seasonal color from annuals

***gain knowledge to experience the pleasure of fresh cut bouquets from annuals and perennials

***learn about various ways to seed save or scatter seed for a "repeat performance" of annuals next year.
Level: Intermediate - Advanced
