Ian Vale of Sound Yachting Group is the US importer for Excite Cats, and I remember reading an article by him about delivering an Excite 810 from New England to Florida. I have no connection to Ian or his company or Excite. I remember also climbing around an Excite 810 at the Newport Boat Show one year. It is cleverly designed and packs a lot in a short length. The fly bridge is "cosy" (read cramped) and the boat is better suited to someone smaller than me (I am 6'4" and broad beamed). Construction seemed OK but not spectacular.
