I've had good luck with a big ol' inflatable snake

Anyone has an idea where I can get my own? What kind of store carries such things?

Hi George,

Few people are aware of a recent federally sponsored study on this problem.  The Navy and Coast Guard have a major problem with bird droppings too, so they engaged a consulting firm to investigate bird deterents and find the best solution.  They found that snakes are the best, but for some reason birds are highly sensitive to the surface finish on the decoy.  Something to do with the refractive qualities of a sea bird's cornea, evolved to help them see fish or some such thing.  Anyway it turns out that the very best decoy was a snake, but it was quite important to put a special coating on the plastic skin.  I heard of the study from a friend of mine that worked with the firm.  Soon after that, the firm went bankrupt, but I managed to secure a limited stock of the coating through my buddy before they went under.  So I'm offering snake oil in 4 oz. bottles to TWListees at a special price of $150 per bottle, just because I like you guys.  I know we're not supposed to sell stuff on TWL, but considering the serio
usness of this problem that plagues us all, I thought that Georgs wouldn't mind this time.  Once again there's only a limited supply, so get your order in early.

Cheers,

Paul ,
I must warn you  that since the Oil of Snake was produced under gov
contract - it is patented to the US Congress - where and to whom  it
rightfully belongs !!

I would hate to see you "step in it " by your kind offer of sharing it

with us ..

All the Best

As a matter of fact I believe the U.S. Congress holds patents on all of the
really good "oil of snake" formulas today. Good luck Paul

And in your spare time, Paul, you probably travel from marina to
marina in a gaily painted canvas covered wagon drawn by one horse and
offer your wares along with weathermaking advice and heretofore
unknown miracle cures, eh?

George of Scaramouche, who appreciates a bit of humour now and then.
