Good morning all,

The House Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Subcommittee is marking up its FY2020 spending bill today at 4pm. Yesterday they released the legislative text and a detailed summary. The markup will be streamed here: https://appropriations.house.gov/events/markups/fy2020-labor-health-and-human-services-education-and-related-agencies-subcommittee

Here is the bill text:
https://appropriations.house.gov/sites/democrats.appropriations.house.gov/files/FY2020%20LHHS%20Sub%20Markup%20Draft.pdf

Summary of highlights:
https://appropriations.house.gov/news/press-releases/appropriations-committee-releases-fiscal-year-2020-labor-hhs-education-funding

Bill text doesn’t have the numbers for Title II WIOA, except that it holds national leadership at $13.71 million. I should have the number for you later, possibly not until later tonight, between periods of the Bruins/Blue Jackets game, the traditional time in which these figure are released. Of course if someone else beats me to it, be sure to share it with the list!

I remain hopeful that a modest increase may be proposed. I don’t expect anything more than modest one or it would have been mentioned in the highlight summary.

Hey Jeff.  Looked like CTE/adult Ed got 60M more on the highlights.  Most likely most of that for CTE?
