They did confirm the half distance on their Facebook page on September 16th. I got an email from Rev3 saying that they were bought up by Challenge. Yes that rumor is correct. Challenge Family and Rev 3 have entered a partnership. Starting in 2015 all Rev3 Triathlon events will become Challenge Family USA events. The Rev3 staff will be retained and will continue to produce the events. Registration for Challenge Knoxville, Quassy, and Williamsburg is now open. Rev 3 adventure racing and the Rev3 Rush (A super sprint held at Richmond International Raceway) will continue under the Rev3 brand/ colors. The Team Rev 3 Age Group Team will continue under the Challenge Family USA flag. Applications for the 2015 team are still being accepted. Challenge Atlantic City will feature both a Full Iron Distance and Half Iron Distance race and relays are offered for both distances as well.
