Well folks, after years of helping out boaters stuck in floods etc ... it finally happened to me. I'm on the boat out in Fairport on the Erie Canal and the Erie is closed from Baldwinsville to here, because of flooding. The word from the top is that the Canal will stay closed til Friday or Saturday. We shall see. On the other hand, being stuck in Fairport is like a little kid being stuck in a candy store. I happen to have a bunch of good friends right here in town and life is actually very very good. It's been one heck of a fine trip so far and high water isn't gonna stop my smile. Fred Tug 44
