New on the job and new to the listserve and first time city attorney. City engineer and manager agree that we have too many of these fiber optic folks moving in to the area and burying lines and we're running out of space for our own utilities. Can anyone point me to an ordinance that was passed in your own cities or know of one in another city that helps restrict these contractors at our discretion and/or helps us control them better? I have a rough draft of our own that we are considering but I would like to see what other cities have done first. Thank you.
