I got so tired of wrestling with the teak cap rails over the 16 years I owned our Krogen Manatee that I gaa a be up and painted most of them. I left the cap rails in the cockpit as well as the cabin doors finished bright. After six or eight costs of Epifanes Teak Coating it was simple to scuff it and put on a maintenance coat every year. These days we spend our summers on Penobscot Bay in a Back Cove which has precious little exterior teak. It gets a lick and a promise annually.
