7:30pm-8:30pm: Bike trainers on the pool deck with Don M
8:45pm-9:30pm: Yoga in the Studio room with Maribeth
Saturday, 11/22, 7:30am-9:30am: Bike trainers on the pool deck (7:30am-9:00am) and brick run (9:05am-9:25am) with Don M

Reply back to me only if you are interested in either a mid-morning pool deck trainer ride (probably around 9am-10:30am) or a late morning/early afternoon outdoor bike ride (probably around 11am-1pm... temps expected to be in mid 30s). I'll send out an update based on the response level.

Hello Gators,A couple of updates...Today: This morning's 10am-11am Tri Swim Class is canceled. This evening's class, as of now, is still on; unless the Y closes, we'll have a workout.Friday, 9am-10:30am: Bike trainers on the pool deck with Don M
Also, Saturday is still as listed in the e-mail below.
Not that the Philly Marathon is past, I had my first opportunity last night to attend Michelle's triathlete spin/strength building/core workout and it's a great workout! It's tough, but it will really pay off when we get to our race season. If you have not yet had the opportunity to attend, I strongly recommend you try it out (just spin, just strength/core, or both) sometime in December.
Also, a head's up for next week... On Thursday, 12/4 during the 7:30pm-8:30pm Tri Club bike trainer workout, we're going to do something called a "lactate threshold heart rate test". This is something we'll do at least a few times (roughly every 6-8 weeks) to initially determine and then occasionally verify/update our heart rate zones. To participate you will need the following...Your bike and bike trainerHeart rate monitorA positive attitude as it's not a fun testThe test itself includes a 20-30 minute stretch of putting out as much effort as you can maintain over that period and then using your average heart rate to calculate your zones. Then you can use those zones when we do our future bike workouts.
We'll also do a similar test sometime in December to determine your run heart rate zones (will be different than bike zones).

PS #1: Members Meeting Reminder - Make sure to mark your calendars for the first ever Wednesday, December 17, 7pm-8:30pm Spring-Valley YMCA Multisport Gators member meeting taking place at the Y. There will be lots of updates and opportunities to provide input to our leadership team.
PS #2: Coaches Meeting Input Invite: The club coaches are having a planning meeting on Wednesday night. The main topic is planning the workout schedule for the first half of 2015 and another key topic is to discuss potential seminar topics/speakers. If you have any input on either topic, please reply back before Wednesday.
