I am considering buying a Fountaine-Pajot Cumberland 46. Does anyone have an opinion on the boat or the company?
Many Thanks,
James

James,
I own a FP 37 and am not a happy person since I
purchased the boat. I am not happy at all with the
broker who sold me the boat nor the FP people as well.
I have gotten nothing but a continuous run around
trying to get them to stand behind their warranty but
to no avail. This is a very poor organization and
should not be allowed to do business in the U.S. or
any where else.
Michael

James,

have you considered looking at the Endeavourcats?

There are currently three of us having the new 48 built.
Tons of room/livability, the builder is great to deal with and very
open to modifications (ours is having the top deck opened up)
Fast build time turnaround (four months)
Great value, particularly if you are in sterling as the dollar is
currently so weak.
They have built over 200 catamarans to date and there are a lo of
happy customers, many who have bought more than one endeavour

regards Jonah.

Jonah:

Can you give us some details:  where are you going to have the Endeavour
shipped to - England?

What modifications are you having done, and when you say you are opening up
the top deck can you expound on what design changes are being made and what
you mean?

I have looked at the Endeavour site and the info on the 48;  very impressive
but was wondering how much windage there will be - or is this a problem on a
Cat?

Thanks

The boat will remain in the states for cruising the Loop and the
Bahamas.
(We live in Bermuda)

The stairs to the pilothouse are being closed in and accessed from
the rear deck.

The fibreglass at the rear of the skylounge and two thirds of the way
along the sides will be removed and we will use canvas.
There will also be drop down canvas behind the pilot station for heat/
air/bugs.

Having custom wet painting storage installed below the stairwell (I'm
an artist)
Full size washer dryer
big rocna anchor
big aussie bbq at transom.

Jonah.
