Hello Gators,Some news about upcoming workouts for the next couple of weeks...Tuesday night, Thursday night, and Saturday morning bike/run workouts will proceed as usual with Michelle, Byron, and I taking the lead and communicating the details each week via Facebook and/or e-mail (NOTE: Some club communications is now taking place only on Facebook, so if you are not currently a member of our group, please reply back and I can tell you how to become one).Tuesday night yoga will take place as usual... 8:30pm-9:30pm at the Y led by Maribeth.Swim Workouts:We do not have a coach for this morning's swim workout, so it will be an uncoached group workout using the Training Peaks workout.  If you are planning to attend, please review the workout prior to arriving.Tonight's swim workout led by Maribeth will proceed as usual. There will be NO SWIM WORKOUTS for at least the week of August 24-30 as the indoor pool is closed for annual maintenance.  We will still post workouts in Training Peaks in case you'd like to swim on your own in the outdoor pool.  The outdoor pool will have some early morning hours while the indoor maintenance is taking place.  Note that it is possible that the indoor closure could extend past August 30 further, which would lead to additional tri swim workout cancellations... If this is the case, we will let you know.
Note 1: There are some potential weather issues the next couple of nights, so stay tuned to Facebook and e-mail in case there are any late changes.
Note 2: This Saturday's workout will be a 3-3.5 hour bike ride with optional brick run departing from the Reynold's Dog Park at 7am.  The tentative plan is to do one of the 35-40 mile loops (with a decent amount of climbing) that we were doing in June/July (approx. 2.5 hours) and then finish with either a flat trail out and back or a Valley Forge loop.  You can join for the entire ride or just the first loop (or if your name is Chris Reiter, we can stop at your house on the first loop and you can join the ride in progress).
Note 3: As you've probably noticed, it's starting to get dark earlier.  Sunset is currently around 7:50pm and will drop to 7:30pm by the end of August and 6:45pm by the end of September.  We're going to stick with outdoor bike rides as long as we can for Tuesday and Thursday evenings, which will result in earlier start times in the coming weeks.  When it starts to get dark too early for outdoor rides, we'll move back indoors for those workouts... Good news about this... We will NOT be using the pool deck this coming fall/winter... We have a new room location... More details about this coming in September.
Please reply back with any questions.
