Greetings,

I am sorry to say that we will no longer be members of Northstar. Our Newfie, Dexter, died earlier this year. He had a spontaneous pneumothorax which was triggered by a change in altitude on a trip out west. He was only 4 1/2 and will be missed.

Dear Ted - That is so sad. I'm very sorry for your loss. She had a really nice long life, especially for a Newfie. My very first Newf, Juno, also died of old age at 14.5 years. When they're with you that long, they really share a major part of your history with you. Condolences - Kristi Mattson

Condolences to you all- Ted- 14 1/2 years is impressive in our breed. I
know you will miss her still.
We who love dogs must experience this again and again.
But I must say I would rather experience the grief, than to not have them in
my life.
We said good bye to our Arwen last month at 14, he was a golden, and we
loved him with all our hearts.
He was a sweet, kind, gentle boy, that had no mean bones in his body.
Fortunately, we still have our 15 year old lab Sophie, and our Newfy River
who is 17 months old and full of energy. She wants to play all day long.

Dear Bob and family, My condolances to you on the loss of your beloved Newf. Our dogs are such a huge part of our lives, it is so very difficult for us to deal with the loss. It's even harder when it's unexpected and when a dog is still so young. Please reconsider your membership of Northstar, as it may be a source of comfort to you if you find you need that "Newfie fix" down the road. I'm sure other members living near-by would be happy to have you over for a visit to give (and receive) Newfie hugs.
