Vuecrest LIFE-Neighbor to Neighbor
Don’t Miss the Vuecrest Annual Party! Fun for ALL Ages!
Where: The esplanade on Park Road at the 8th Street entrance to Vuecrest
When: Saturday, August 12th, 3:00P-6:00P
What to Expect: We will have a taco truck, pizza, games, balloon creations, ice cream truck, and music! You supply the dancing. The rest is on us. Meet your neighbors, engage with your community!
School Supply Drive: We will have special visitors from our Bellevue Police and Fire Departments and their super cool vehicles plus some Bellevue City Council Members, all up close and personal. This year, the Police and Fire Departments have asked for our help in collecting school supplies for our own Bellevue School District to help those in need. If you would like to contribute, please bring items (Most Needed: pencils, markers, notebooks, scissors, glue sticks, lunch boxes, pens, erasers, rulers, and calculators) to the party. The police department will collect the items in bins at the party location. If you are out of town and still want to contribute, please reach out to Neda directly at directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net and she will be happy to coordinate a pickup or do the shopping for you! A special thank you to Li Wong for helping put this drive together to support our Bellevue community.
Protect our Lamp Posts
There are 99 lamp posts in our neighborhood and they were all cleaned, sanded, primed, and repainted in 2020. They look great now because we spent a tidy-bit of HOA money getting them back in shape. So, let’s prolong their “magazine-worthy-status” as long as possible. Please refrain from using the lamp posts for posting notices and, if possible, keep all plants about a foot away from rubbing against them. Thanks!
Old Glory
Thanks Jay Hawblitzel for replacing our well-seasoned flag with a fresh one. We appreciate your attention to the details. Long may she wave!
The Right of Ways in Vuecrest
Mark Mecham, our Landscape Committee Chair, has made sure that the right of ways through our neighborhood are trimmed up and useable. This is the West ROW between Hilltop and Vineyard. Thanks, Mark!

CALENDAR ITEMS:
Vuecrest Book Club (Meeting IN PERSON)
Vuecrest has its own Book Club and all residents are welcome to attend. We meet once a month at 7PM, usually on the first Monday, at various members’ homes. The VC Book Club has an “open-read” format, that is, there is no “chosen” book. We all gather to discuss what we had read since our last meeting. And for those too busy to read, feel free to come and enjoy the friendship and share a little wine and conversation with your neighbors. And you just might hear about a book you’d like to read in the future! Email Mara Pitkethly dtpit@uw.edu mailto:dtpit@uw.edu for details.
Monthly Board Meeting (Remote) Wednesday, August 9th at 6:00P
This month’s board meeting will be held remotely. To join the meeting use the link or dial-in information below. Everyone is welcome to join. Please let the Directors know at least three days in advance if you will be bringing any items for discussion so they may be included in the agenda.
