Greetings Colleagues,

We’re preparing to release the application for the Lifting As We Climb Fellowship, a joint initiative between NCCU SLIS and the HBCU Library Alliance. This program is designed to support and develop library staff currently employed at HBCU libraries who are pursuing an M.L.S. or M.I.S. degree at NCCU.

We ask that you begin identifying strong candidates from your teams who may benefit from this opportunity.

The upcoming cohort will support five fellows, four non-resident and one North Carolina resident, and includes a stipend, mentorship, virtual leadership development, and conference travel. Please note that students in joint degree programs are not eligible, and continued employment at an HBCU library is required throughout the fellowship.

Thank you for your support in cultivating the next generation of HBCU library leaders!

Best regards,

Shaneé Yvette Willis, M.Div/MLS
