Hi folks!
If you want to take full advantage of a little sunshine and get your hands
dirty, come join us at the UWT Giving Garden today, between 3-7pm, and help
prep the Garden for spring. Learn about composting, worm bins and urban
gardening tips. All produce from the Garden is donated to the Good Neighbor
Cafe, operated by the Tacoma Rescue Mission to help provide our low-income and
homeless neighbors with healthy, locally-grown food. See the flyer for more
details.
Work at the Giving Garden is coordinated by UWT Environmental Program students
Jennifer Guenther and Christina Zinkgraf, and funded by grants from the Pierce
Conservation District's Green Partnership Fund and UWT's Founders Endowment.
Cheers,
Jim
