Hello everyone,
On behalf of COABE, I am delighted to share that famed astronaut, Story Musgrave, has joined our national public awareness campaign (details here)!
You may also notice that below the write up on Story is the opportunity to send a quick email to your legislators (mayor, governor, members of congress, other elected officials). This "quick fire" service is really easy to use and makes a huge impact. We would like to encourage everyone to send a quick email or make a phone call as we ramp up for National Adult Ed and Family Literacy Week. This will help amplify our voice when we "hit the Hill" with advocates from around the country on 9/26.
On another related note, we will be partnering with Dollar General Literacy Foundation to promote the new "Here's My Story" initiative alongside the Educate and Elevate national public awareness campaign. More details will be available soon.
