I received and read the Anomalous Propagation today. For some time now I have noticed that I am listed as monitoring the 10GHz beacon from K9AYA. Well that isn’t true and hasn’t been for over a year. I should have notified you earlier. I still listen for the 1296 beacon. I don’t have any 10Ghz equipment in the air. Now that I have a tower again, I might put it back up but it won’t be this winter! The other news item is that K9AYA has taken the 10Ghz beacon off the air permanently. He still has a 5760 beacon, but that one is considerably weaker and I never heard it that often when I had gear on the air.
I did finish getting the rotating tower back up a month ago or so. Then I built a full size 40 meter dipole and mounted it at the 110 foot level. It works. I have been working everything with 50 or 100 watts and many stations with only 5 watts.
I heard, but didn’t call A5A from Bhutan and VU2GPS from India. The antenna also loads and radiates very well on 21 MHz.

Hi Dave,
Good to hear about your rotating tower. Could you send a picture or two to the MVUS mailing list?
Take care and good DXing.

So maybe it's spurious propagation? :-)
