BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING-DUCK (Niagara): The long-staying Dufferin Islands
bird was reported October 15-20.
Harlequin Duck (Toronto): A female type bird was photographed at Colonel
Sam Smith Park in Etobicoke October 19.
White-winged Dove (Thunder Bay): One bird was photographed at a yard in
Shuniah the morning of October 21.
PURPLE GALLINULE (Algoma): An injured bird was captured in Sault Ste. Marie
and taken to a rehabilitator.
PURPLE GALLINULE (Toronto): One bird was found October 17 in cell 1 of
Tommy Thompson Park and was seen by many to at least October 21.
Hudsonian Godwit (Chatham-Kent): Two birds were in a large shorebird flock
along Lagoon Rd near Shrewsbury October 16 and at least one remained
October 21.
Hudsonian Godwit (Essex): One bird was reported from Hillman Marsh October
16, with two there October 20 and one again October 21.
Hudsonian Godwit (Norfolk): The two birds remained at Turkey Point October
15-21.
Purple Sandpiper (Chatham-Kent): One bird was seen by several observers on
the breakwall at Erieau October 19.
Red Phalarope (Frontenac): One bird was seen briefly at Reeds Bay on Wolfe
Island October 17.
RAZORBILL (Ottawa): After last week's invasion along the Ottawa River at
least one bird remained to at least October 21, being reported from several
locations.
SLATY-BACKED GULL (Ottawa): This bird again continued all week, with
sightings from the Trail Rd landfill and Moodie Drive quarry.
Pacific Loon (Renfrew): One bird was in Cobden October 16.
NORTHERN GANNET (Ottawa): A juvenile was seen flying by Shirleys Bay and
Andrew Haydon Park October 17.
Cattle Egret (Algoma): Two birds were photographed near Wharncliffe on
October 15.
Cattle Egret (Chatham-Kent): One bird was seen in Shrewsbury October 15.
Cattle Egret (Essex): One bird was at Wheatley Harbour (on the Essex side)
October 16.
Glossy Ibis/WHITE-FACED IBIS (Chatham-Kent): A juvenile bird was at Keith
McLean CA October 17-20. A second individual flew over on October 20.
Glossy Ibis/WHITE-FACED IBIS (Greater Sudbury): A juvenile bird was at
Fielding Memorial Park in Sudbury October 17-18.
Black Vulture (Elgin): One bird flew past Hawk Cliff on October 18.
Black Vulture (Niagara): Up to three birds were reported from Queenston
October 18.
Black Vulture (Simcoe): One bird was photographed as it flew over a lucky
observer's Barrie yard on October 17.
Swainson's Hawk (Chatham-Kent): A light morph juvenile was photographed
passing overhead east of Wheatley on October 17.
NORTHERN WHEATEAR (Frontenac): One bird was photographed on the east side
of Cataraqui Bay on the morning of October 15 but has not been seen since.
Orchard Oriole (Durham): A very late female-type bird was photographed at
Thickson's Point in Whitby October 21.
Palm Warbler (Yellow) (Lambton): One bird was reported at Wilkesport
October 16.
Palm Warbler (Yellow) (Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry): One bird was
reported in Ingleside October 16.
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER (AUDUBON'S) (Thunder Bay): One bird was reported from
Thunder Cape on October 21.
