Before I went to bed last night I checked the radar. There was still some rain showing, but where there wasn't rain there was birds. Now (5 AM) I looking at the last five hours on the radar and have to admit I find it a bit confusing because of the mix of weather and birds. My past experience has been that the birds don't follow the weather very closely.
My best estimate is that everywhere the weather allowed, starting the minute it was possible, large numbers of birds have been moving. The greatest concentration is in the NW corner of CT, but the entire eastern half of the state has been heavy and even the NE corner showed activity from the radar station in eastern MA.
We've all been waiting for this!
