Not only is this the South Sound Chapter monthly beach cleanup, but also a global event!!! On May 16th, people around the world will be participating in Hands Across the Sand events and we invite you to join us. The idea is to post pictures of all attending holding hands across the sand as a resolute statement to embrace clean energy and defend our shores from oil: #Joinhands #BeachTalkOilTalk ... As Sound beaches go, this one is pretty nice. It is no sand spit, but it has a nice sandy margin above the high tide line (the low tide while we will be there exposes an expanse of cobbles).
