Hi everyone,
Just a quick note that we will be skipping the October public policy call this month since we had the in-person NCL meeting last week.

As folks likely know, the Labor-H bill was passed and signed by the President, a bill that included a $25 million increase for adult education. Thanks to everyone for all of the work done to advocate for this increase and your continued advocacy efforts.

Another note - the public charge rule text was released, although it was not yet posted to the federal register. We will let you all know when that happens for folks who wish to post comments. Judy, feel free to add anything!

We will pick back up on November 7 at 4:00 eastern.

Best,
Michele Diecuch

Let’s hope most of the November call is spent celebrating but that will only happen if we follow Mother Jone’s advice to “pray for the dead and fight like hell for the living”.
