2018 HOA Leaders
Every year there are a team of directors and volunteers working for us to uphold the neighborhood CC&R’s and preserve an atmosphere that will foster the growth of a cohesive community. They don’t get paid, they face challenging issues, and they attempt to fit numerous neighborhood meetings into their work and free-time schedules. These people are dedicated to you, your property, and our neighborhood. Every year the directors collectively vote for the officers who will lead the way during the year. This year, the leaders who deserve a neighborhood high five are…
President Kathleen McKenna
Vice President Jonathan Kagle
Secretary Nyla Wang
Treasurer Barbara Cosgriff
Director Marc Lapsley
Director Mark von der Burg
Director Chris Bodiford
To reach your directors with questions or concerns, email directors@vuecrest.net mailto:directors@vuecrest.net.
An extra THANK YOU to Marc Lapsley, who shouldered the office of President AND trained the architectural committee last year while working a very busy schedule. His architectural knowledge is indispensable and we could not be more grateful that someone with his expertise has offered his time to our neighborhood. Thank you for your continued time and service!
In addition, many past HOA leaders occasionally return to offer their experience and wisdom to the decision-making process. We’re always grateful for their contributions. Thank you for your service!
Bellevue Neighborhood Project (NEP)
Last November Jonathan Kagle reported that Bellevue NEP (Neighborhood Enhancement Project) money will be available for the NW Bellevue area and he believed that Vuecrest might be able take advantage of it. Since that time the directors have been working to define a project that would benefit our community. Chris Bodiford has agreed to spearhead this endeavor. This is a project that will use Bellevue City funds to benefit our neighborhood focusing on 100th Ave NE. To get more information about the project go to: https://transportation.bellevuewa.gov/projects/neighborhood-projects/100thAveCompleteStreets/ https://transportation.bellevuewa.gov/projects/neighborhood-projects/100thAveCompleteStreets/ Please take the survey http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/4074475/City-of-Bellevue-100th-Ave-NE http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/4074475/City-of-Bellevue-100th-Ave-NE and write in the Vuecrest East entrance cross street of 10th St & 100th Ave NE. This will let the city know that it is an area of concern and could use the city’s attention.
2018 Assessments are DUE January 31st!
If you have not received your 2018 assessment, please send an immediate email to Treasurer@vuecrest.net. They are due January 31st. The assessment amount due is $303.00. Please mail to Vuecrest Community P.O Box 312, Bellevue, WA 98009.
Sumiyoshi/Continental Property Project Update
Here is the February construction schedule for five story rental apartment complex at our east entrance (the northeast corner of 10th and 100th). The 137-unit apartment building will have two levels of underground parking.
What to Expect This Month:
Siding is currently being installed on the 5th floor. Painting of the North elevation has begun and will continue to the East side later on in the month. Insulation and drywall are currently being installed on the 5th and 4th floors. Scaffolding dismantle will occur on the West elevation with deck installation to follow.
Meydenbauer Beach Park Progress
If you visit the parks in our area as much as I do, you’re probably anticipating the grand opening of the revitalized and enlarged Meydenbauer Beach Park scheduled for later this year. Chris Bodiford sent us this video link so you can keep an eye on the progress. Thanks, Chris!
