Goal: Explore Kimberley area
Remarks:
We're doing a lot of river travel, some by
'Idlewild' and some by 'Sidekick'. Went up the
Purulba to the shallows, then went up the Prince
Regent to Camp Creek and up it to the falls.
Very nice and beautiful clear pools above with
sand and sandstone beaches. Very impressive.
Yesterday took Idlewild 12 miles up PR River to
King Cascade Falls which are truly spectacular.
Pictures about Mar 30. They are a big falls over
a series of sandstone ledges. Recently this area
has had the most rain in recent memory so the
falls are at their best. We could get right up
to them and enjoy the mist, but we needed to be
back to our anchorage before mid tide as the
river gets impassable then.

Back at anchorage, sit back with a cool drink, a
light breeze and count your blessings.
Saw some more crocs at night including a 15' long
one climbing the bank, and during our travels we
see Sulpher Crested Cockatoos as well as
unidentified birds.
There is a 28' tide here that gave some good
sized whirlpools near us last night on way back.
Not dangerous but they require diligence always.
