Do you love the salty lines of a classic trawler but don't want to deal with "old boat issues"? Look no further. Buying a larger vessel has placed this lovingly restored 1983 Monk 36 trawler on the market and she is looking for a loving home. No expense has been spared on her comprehensive refit over the last year and a half. 3 page summary of all completed projects and all work professionally done and documented.  2 stateroom/2head layout (electric head forward, new Raritan Marine Elegance freshwater flush vacuum electric head aft). Large flybridge with space for friends and family.  Upper and lower helms. Foredeck and aft bridge deck professionally recored with synthetic coring (will never absorb water), all topsides and transom painted, and custom 1.25" diameter stainless steel handrails on upper and lower decks.  GRANITE COUNTERTOPS and new appliances in galley, reconfigured forward stateroom from a single double berth to a bunk bed/v berth configuration, upgraded electrical, fuel tanks pressure tested to assure no leaks,Wifi booster antenna, as well as 2 newer HVAC units, dripless shaft seals, the list goes on.  Only 1,900 hours on her single Perkins 6.354 135hp diesel and only 350 on her 8KW Northern Lights generator (newer and not original to boat) that comes equipped with a soundshield. Mechanically she has run flawlessly. Cosmetically...well, she gets compliments on her anywhere she goes and people stop on the docks all the time asking about her and wanting to tour her. No leaks at windows or doors and none of the stereotypical damaged interior woodwork resulting from lack of care.  She started her life in San Diego and moved to freshwater circa 1997/1998 and has never been in salt water since.  She shows as a freshwater vessel not as saltwater.  9.5' Avon RIB dinghy included (1993).  She is a charming and capable trawler that has had a lot of love and money poured into her. Perfect for doing the great loop, cruising your local waters, or just enjoying a sunset cruise with a sense of class and happiness not to be found on a cookie cutter boat. Excellent condition. If you are looking for a great trawler with solid following and market appeal that is in great shape you will appreciate this Monk 36.  You will not be disappointed by this exemplary example of the classic Monk 36.  No teak decks!!! Can be cruised anywhere under her own power from her current location via the inland river locks to the coast, ICW, and beyond.

Now only $94,900.  Over 100 pictures online here:
