I always carried a sextant, current tables (If you loose your electronics, you probably will loose the calculator and electronic tables), pencil and paper. I would also include a basic navigation book. Also I kept a hand held VHF and GPS in a 30 cal steel ammo box, sealed against the elements. Bob Austin
