Gators: Tri Swim Wednesday Night Workout Update, Philadelphia Marathon/Half Marathon Sale TODAY Only, and Tire Changing Clinic TOMORROW
Hello Gators,Three quick things...Tonight's 8:30pm-9:30pm Tri Swim class will be an uncoached group workout. I will have copies of the workout available.Below is an e-mail I just received about a one-day Philly Marathon/Half Marathon sale TODAY 4pm-9pm. This will be our final "club event" of the year and if you've been thinking about taking on your first half or full marathon, I highly recommend this one...The weather is usually ideal (you start your training in the heat/humidity of August and typically end up racing in temps ranging from high 30s to mid 50s)The course is not very hillyTheir is great crowd supportIt's low cost because you don't have to travel.And most importantly... It's four days before Thanksgiving, so you can burn off lots of calories to properly prepare yourself for the feast!Also, if you missed it on Facebook, Brian Kozera is conducting a bike maintenance clinic (mostly focusing on tire changing) TOMORROW (Thursday, 6/4) night, 6:30pm-7:30pm in the Corporate Conference Room at the Y. This is in direct conflict with our Thursday night bike ride (details on that coming from Byron), but is a good opportunity for anyone that has a race coming soon that needs some training/practice.
PS - This does not count as your weekly Gator News... That's still coming in the next couple of days with lots of great results from the Independence Tri and other events last weekend!
