Last year I got a refund from Virginia for diesel purchased there. Google "virginia fuel refund"(18cents/gal)for info.  This year I submitted my receipts but it was marked "off road diesel" on the receipt.  I will report if I get the refund this year.

Can anyone point to a specific IRS or state publication that says that diesel fuel used in pleasure boats is tax exempt?  Some sites say that in certain cases dyed fuel may be used if the tax is paid.
