THIS WEEK IN TRI CLUB (August 24-30)!
First, a reminder about our upcoming "Gators DIY Tri" on Sunday, September
13! If you are planning to participate and have not already done so,
commit today on the survey that you can find under "Announcements". So far
we have 18 committed to the event including...
• Sprint Tri: 4
• Olympic Tri: 5
• Half IRONMAN Tri: 3
• Other combinations: 6
Take advantage of some of the many opportunities available to you this week
from both the club and our awesome sponsors, French Creek Racing and
Mid-Atlantic Multisport, to get ready for the DIY Tri or any of the other
virtual and real events on the calendar! This includes our first of two
"DIY Tri course preview" workouts taking place next Sunday, August 30 (see
"Events" or "Announcements" for details).
Also, please note that this week's evening club rides (Tuesday and
Thursday) will again start at 6pm and next week (starting on Tuesday,
September 1) we move to a 5:45pm start time.
Just a reminder to please observe social distancing before, during, and
after our workouts and always have a mask with you as those are the best
way to ensure that we can continue to offer club cycling, running, and swim
workouts.
Here is what is on the calendar for club training opportunities this week;
to assist us with planning, please indicate "Going" for any workouts that
you plan to attend...
• Tuesday, August 25, 6:00pm-7:30pm, Reynolds Dog Park: SRT Intervals
Ride... We already have 6 "Going" to this uncoached group ride... Will we
approach last week's total of 15? Also, if you are running late and we
take off without you, you know where to find us (and you might be better
off parking at the Pawlings Rd. Trailhead). See "Event" for details...

attending! Note that as of the time of this posting, we are at 8 "Going" (I
do not count). If there are any new additions that put us over 12 by Noon,

Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning. See "Event" for details and to
make your reservation... https://www.facebook.com/events/3337504383032534

participating in this year's virtual Donut(less) Derby, you do not want to
miss this event! We'll use the traditional doughathlon "ride/eat/ride"
format. See "Event" for details...
