I'd like to share with you an upcoming Office of Environmental Policy and Sustainability event:

Urban Hike: Discovering Dometop on Foot

When: Saturday, 3/28: 10-Noon
Meeting point: McKinley Park (600 Upper Park St; maphttps://www.google.com/maps/place/McKinley+Park/@47.235146,-122.422632,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x92c1e8d3452f92d?sa=X&ei=Y6_9VNjKNcimoQT-_YGABg&sqi=2&ved=0CIkBEPwSMA4)
Distance: 2.3 miles
Rain or shine

*No hiking boots necessary, though we will walk through McKinley Park and off-sidewalk!

"Urban Hike: Discovering Dometop on Foot" is a walk to explore Tacoma's Dometop neighborhood. Atop McKinley Hill, this Eastside community is graced with McKinley Park, Dometop Community Garden, and some of the best views of Downtown Tacoma and the port. Walk guides will showcase points of interest and share facts about this neighborhood's history.

The walk leaders include: Councilmember Marty Campbell, Metro Parks Tacoma, Dometop Community Garden (with support from Harvest Pierce County and Sustainable Roots), Pierce Conservation District, and the Healthy Homes, Healthy Neighborhoods program.

Join us on Saturday morning and learn more about this hidden gem!
*Light refreshments will be provided.

In the case of rain, bring your own umbrella! A limited number of umbrellas will be provided.

Free water bottles will be distributed to the first 50 attendees!
