Subject: NOTICE - McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve Trails & GM parking lot
closures
NOTICE:
Birders,
I want to pass on some important information regarding the trails around
Oshawa Second Marsh.
The McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Trails (east side) are open but parking is no
longer permitted in General Motors (GM) lots and trails can not be
accessed from the GM parking lots.
This new development goes into effect immediately. Reasons for this are
many.
You can enter the McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve Trails at two locations:
1- Just past the Ghost Road Bush (woods), before the bend in the road, a
wooden information kiosk marks the trailhead. Parking is allowed on Colonel
Sam Drive.
2 - Pass the GM building and go to the end of Colonel Sam Drive. Public
parking lot located on Townline Rd. S. (gravel road and lot).
Please adhere to these restrictions for everyone’s benefit.
Cheers,
Jim Richards
(former Manager, McLaughlin Bay Wildlife Reserve)
(Founder, Friends of Second Marsh)
