Georgs: Our boat (MT 44) has large windows in the saloon. We had the  factory
make storm covers for those. These were 3/4 " solid teak which if needed
were to be screwed into the existing teak frame (predrilled, etc). The pilot
window (starboard side fwd) was a slatted arrangement with 1/2" spacing.  That
is all we had to see through but when you are in that situation when you  need
them reduced visibility is not a negative factor. We never had to use these
covers but once.  Now they are our reserve supply of teak (1979 the real
stuff).  Regards. Leonard Stern
